Cross country interview

1. What parts of the cross country did you like?

Crossing the finish line because it felt good to finish.

2. What parts of the school did you run?

Once around the field and then twice around the school, out the top gate and back in through the carpark.

3. Did you have fun running?

Yes

4. What did you enjoy about it?

I enjoy how it feels to finish after being really tired during the run.

5. Are you happy with where you finished in the cross country?

I came 3rd so yes I am happy. I had been away so did not have long to train so it was good to finish in the top 3.

Movie Review

WALT write  a review

Martell Animations has just opened a new short animation film called Pigeon Impossible.

The film starts in Washington D.C.                                       

A man in a black suit is holding  a briefcase.  In the briefcase there is lots of technology. A pigeon comes up to  the man because he has bagel.

The pigeon wants the bagel but suddenly the pigeon falls into the briefcase! Then a lot of trouble starts to happen.

One thing I didn’t like was how the pigeon looks like a tui, that makes him look weird. Also the pigeon keeps staring at the spy like he is evil just because he didn’t get the bagel.

In the beginning I liked how the pigeon suddenly appears wanting the bagel because that is how pigeon’s act.

I especially liked how the pigeon falls into the briefcase. He looks like he is confused so he starts to press buttons like fire which starts guns shooting.

Overall I liked the movie and I recommend that you watch Pigeon Impossible. I give it 4 stars out of 5 because it is funny and I think kids would enjoy it.

EOTC recount

                                                                                                            

A few days ago the year 5 /6’s participated in EOTC week. Room 7/9 drove on a bus to Caster bay. The first thing that Rangitoto  group did was  kayaking.

                         

WALT write the middle of the recount.

Middle: First we learned how to use a paddle and put a life jacket on then Rangitoto  group  dragged the kayaks to the water. We waited  for Owen to get into the water on his kayak. So while Owen was in the water he shouted let's play a game it is called traffic lights, for a few minutes. Later we played follow the leader that was hard because it was in deep water and I was scared. For the the next game we had  to pair up with a person.

Then we got together and Owen named us a banana or an orange or an apple.

I was a banana and we had to stand on a kayak and do “watch me whip watch me nae nae” dance. Then we had to put our kayaks back to where they were.

We all shouted that was fun ya and that was the end of kayaking while that was happening I could smell sewage water yuck!!!

Stella

It´s  a big round fluffy pink bird. She has 3 black feathers that look like a black piece of paper  her big blue eyes look like deep as dark ocean.  Stella is a bird that traps objects in bubbles.When the bubbles pop the objects inside fall and create damage. Stella´s  father's rise  when she's moving in the air. While sheś in the air she goes really fast. Stella is always cheerful and quick , she always knows what the pigs are up to The END
